NAACP: Data Centers Tour with Nature Forward

Join the NAACP on Thursday, December 11^th at 2:00 pm EST, for a guided optional tour in Northern Virginia, exploring the rapid expansion of data centers and their growing footprint in our communities. This immersive tour will take participants into the heart of Virginia’s “Data Center Alley,” where we will visit multiple sites to better understand how these facilities shape surrounding communities and local environments.

During the tour, participants will learn about:

• Community Disruptions: How noise, traffic, and 24/7 operations affect nearby neighborhoods.
• Environmental Concerns: Issues such as air pollution, energy consumption, and impacts on natural habitats.

Led by Nature Forward and the Virginia State Conference of the NAACP, this opportunity offers a unique on-the-ground perspective for members, advocates, policymakers, and residents seeking to better understand the implications of one of the fastest-growing industries in our communities.
