Volunteer With Us

The NAACP works to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights for all people and to eliminate race-based discrimination. Each year, the NAACP Convention and ACT-SO bring together leaders, students, advocates, and community members from across the country to advance that mission. Volunteers play an important role in making these events possible—supporting event operations, welcoming attendees, and helping create an organized and positive experience for participants. The information below provides an overview of what volunteering involves and what you can expect as part of the volunteer team.

WHY VOLUNTEER?

Volunteers play an essential role in supporting the success of the NAACP Convention and ACT-SO. From assisting with registration and supporting sessions to helping guide guests and participants, volunteers help create a welcoming and organized experience for everyone attending the event.

Volunteering is also an opportunity to support the mission of the NAACP while gaining behind-the-scenes experience at one of the organization’s largest national gatherings.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

Volunteers will be scheduled based on their availability submitted during registration.

Volunteer roles may include:

• Registration and check-in support
